Although there is a general lack of major geocosmic signatures to contend with this week, this isn’t to say that it's all smooth going as we still have another week of Mercury retrograde to contend with. In addition, we’re seeing the Moon waning in its Last Quarter Phase all this week ahead of the Aries New Moon on April 15, the same day Mercury ends retrograde. Taken together, this would be a good week for review, reconsideration, reflection, study, research as well as the completion of projects already in process. By the same token, this week doesn’t favor new business in need of a future as the indicators point to closures and endings.
While the coming forecast period isn’t given to new initiatives, this isn’t to say that planning for future conditions is completely out of the question. This then would be a good week for loose planning that doesn’t involve detailed agendas or other logistics that can change in a moment’s notice. With Mercury retrograde, we’re a bit too preoccupied with looking in the rear-view mirror to accurately gauge future unfoldment. As relevant as the past may be, it doesn’t pay to use it as a model for future conditions.
Speaking of a look behind, next week we’ll take a closer look at all the crazy stuff involving data breaches, privacy hacks, leaks, firings, walked-back comments and ill-conceived initiatives that have marked the 24 days of Mercury retrograde. Until then, be sure to keep your shirt on and your powder dry as there’s more chaos still to unwind in the days to come.
Lunar Gardening Report
The door closes on planting projects this week with the Moon entering its Last Quarter Phase on Sunday. Monday through early Wednesday afternoon are terrible for any kind of activity involving plants with the Moon in agriculturally-sterile Aquarius. Wednesday afternoon through Friday would be okay days for fertilizing under the Pisces Moon, but the best time for planting and feeding aren’t set to arrive until Tuesday, April 17 when the New Moon begins to take on a sliver of light in Taurus.
Daily Forecast (For all signs)
(Times are Eastern Daylight/-0400UTC)
Sunday, April 8: The Capricorn Moon enters its Last Quarter Phase during the pre-dawn hours, pointing to a week of completions, endings and a consolidation ahead of next Sunday’s New Moon. Power plays are indicated mid morning while a more expansive and upbeat tone dominates the hours that follow, suggesting a potential opportunity. The remainder of the day appears chill yet a bit on the somber side before things grow a bit wackier and unpredictable later tonight.
Monday, April 9: A smooth, cool and lazy tone is on display as described by the waning Moon in Aquarius while we see bright ideas popping during the midafternoon hours. Even so, it would be wise to wait (or at least get a second opinion) before acting on any keen insights as things might not be as simple or clear-cut as they appear at first blush.
Tuesday, April 10: Mostly clear sailing through most of the day under the Aquarius Moon ahead of choppy waters late tonight with compulsive or obsessive behaviors making a strong showing (Sun square Pluto). Another possibility lies with hot and steamy sex for those of you in the right position for such activities (Venus trine Mars). This can also find translation through the creative process for night owls with strong artistic tendencies.
Wednesday, April 11: Watch you don’t commit to more than you can deliver first thing this morning; which is to say, don’t assume you have the time and resources without double checking (Sun quincunx Jupiter). The Moon goes void-of-course (VOC) in Aquarius beginning at 10:55 am, remaining void until the Moon dives into the deep end of Pisces at 2:40 pm and it’s safe again for agreements and decisions. Dreamy vibes are indicated tonight and most of the day tomorrow.
Thursday, April 12: With the Pisces Moon now in its closing Balsamic Phase, the emphasis shifts to completions and endings while it would be best to table any major initiative until the other side of Sunday’s New Moon. A sense of balance dominates the morning hours while idealism and a touch of wishful thinking could arise midday (Venus sextile Neptune). This might include a situation where you can be of assistance to someone later in the day without much consideration for what you’ll get in return. Then, closer to sunset we see two more contacts being formed by the dreamy Pisces Moon, which only poses a problem if you’ve cast yourself in the role of victim. Otherwise, movies, concerts or a hot bath are strongly favored tonight.
Friday, April 13: A string of lunar alignments formed by the Pisces Moon suggest upbeat attitudes during the morning hours while matters pertaining to health and wellbeing make a showing late tonight. There may be a pronounced shift in energy as we approach the midnight hour with a more assertive, if not aggressive tone prevailing as the Moon crosses into Aries at that time.
Saturday, April 14: With Mercury beginning to slow its apparent motion before ending retrograde tomorrow morning, the chatter-factor could be raised a notch early in the day when the Aries Moon joins stationary Mercury. Power, influence and obscene amounts of money might already be making a splash, particularly when it comes to matters that pertain to the collective (Jupiter sextile Pluto). Watch for extremes in connection with divisive opinions and beliefs that deviate from the norm, particularly where idealistic notions drive actions and behaviors (Mars sextile Neptune). Whatever takes place, there’s likely to be swift repercussions and the need for accountability in its wake. With the Mercury direct tomorrow morning and the Aries New Moon set to open a new cycle tomorrow night, it seems likely that some serious commotion is already taking place.
