Coming away from this past Wednesday’s Full Moon Eclipse in Leo most, if not all of the current forecast period appears relatively calm. Venus is the only planet actively engaged with other planets this coming week with the exception of the swiftly-moving Moon which is always making aspect to other planets. Venus’ association with love, romance, values and tastes is likely to show signs of overdoing it this weekend while providing the urge to do something completely different for a change midweek.
This current lull in the heavens sits poised between the recent Full Moon Eclipse and the Aquarius New Moon/Partial Solar Eclipse opening a new cycle on Feb. 15, which means the current, two-week period provides a time for the unfolding of matters presented this past Wednesday. In light of the fact that the Aquarius New Moon Eclipse will take place directly opposite the location of last August’s Leo New Moon/Total Solar Eclipse, what is going on now is some kind of set-up for a bigger development taking place on the other side of the Feb. 15 eclipse.
As to the basic tone of the coming week, we’re seeing the Moon enter its closing Last Quarter Phase this coming Wednesday, after which the door will close on all new initiatives as we focus on completing that which has already been started over the course of the past three weeks. It’s also advisable to use care with any new business launched between two successive eclipses, which means anything that looked real good around the time of the Full Moon Eclipse this past week may not hold-up to our expectations if initiated ahead of the New Moon Eclipse.. What does work is adopting a more contemplative state of mind while looking to the entire month of February as a time to do more personal work in preparation for the warm days of Spring that lie just ahead.
Lunar Gardening Report
Got stuff to plant, repot or fertilize this week? There’s a nice string of days before the door firmly closes late Wednesday morning when the Moon enters its Last Quarter Phase. Sunday and Monday host the Moon in Libra, ideal for indoor plants and other ornamentals while Tuesday and some of Wednesday also provide the last growing opportunities until after Feb. 15. The remainder of the week can be used to cut, clear and weed, anything that doesn’t involve planting or feeding.
Daily Forecasts (For all signs)
(Times are Eastern Standard/-0500UTC)
Sunday, Feb. 4: After doing it up big last night, the vibes feel a bit more conservative this morning, showing little on the radar under a harmonious and somewhat ambiguous Moon in Libra. After a lull in the afternoon, a slightly more energetic configuration presides which appears favorable for SuperBowl parties and other social occasions.
Monday, Feb. 5: The potential for cooperative endeavors is strong this morning as long as the agenda is made clear from the onset under the Libra Moon. Keeping in mind that the Moon is waning ahead of Wednesday’s Last Quarter Moon, you’ll want to get it in the oven by tomorrow. Even so, watch for unexpected turns in the early afternoon, setting off a VOC period at 1:45 pm that will last until 11:00 pm when the Moon enters Scorpio and things get deep.
Tuesday, Feb. 6: The morning hours fall under the shadow of the Scorpio Moon as it makes a sobering contact with Saturn with somebody needing to fess-up and take responsibility. A more reflective tone is struck during the afternoon hours and an excellent time for focusing one’s attention on any given task. Communication gaps are possible around sunset while the remainder of the night lends itself to adventures, entertainments and pleasures off the beaten path (Venus sextile Uranus). A soft and dreamy lunar contact lends itself to a good night’s sleep as we embark from the Gate of Horn and into the Dreamtime.
Wednesday, Feb. 7: The Scorpio Moon enters its Last Quarter Phase this morning at 11:00 am, signaling the beginning of a week pointed toward closure and consolidation. This is particularly true with regard to things that came into being mid-January; now’s the time to start putting a wrap on them while putting new initiatives on hold until after Feb. 15. Stubborn opinions and a tendency to make blanket statements appears likely during the late afternoon hours while a certain edginess could haunt us into the evening hours.
Thursday, Feb. 8: There isn’t too much to report today aside from the Scorpio Moon VOC until 9:00 am when it enters Sagittarius; something to be mindful of when it comes to booking appointments first thing this morning. Although unaspected, the Moon in buoyant Sagittarius lends itself to a more optimistic, upbeat and humorous background tone; intolerance and self-righteousness tends to be the negative default expression.
Friday, Feb. 9: Still basking in the warm fires of the Sagittarius Moon, we need to be on-guard against those who perceive an open and optimistic viewpoint as a weak point to deceptively exploit during the morning hours. We should expect partial clearing through the early afternoon when we’ll see an enhanced communication flow covering all the bases before the commencement of the weekend. Parties and other social gatherings come highly recommended with a more lighthearted and funny approach to what often passes as dark news.
Saturday, Feb. 10: The Moon continues to make its way through upbeat Sagittarius, favoring outdoor adventures, spectator sports and anything else that can help quell a sense of restlessness or ennui. Having spent the past 25 days chilling-out in Aquarius, Venus crosses the cusp into Pisces where she takes on a more sensitive role when it comes to love, sex and values while we find ourselves paying closer attention to the victims of sexual abuse over the coming month. The annual visitation of Venus to Pisces points to a time of greater compassion and understanding towards suffering, in our own lives and those we interact with on a daily basis. The overstepping of bounds is likely to be on display today, particularly where laws, legislation and political brinkmanship is concerned (Sun square Jupiter). It’s also an indicator of overdoing something to the point that it calls for serious contemplation and soul-searching after the darkened Moon enters Capricorn later tonight through Monday.
